I’ve been off the grid! I think it’s time to talk about this incase somebody else is experiencing the same symptoms and are scared and wondering why their hair is falling out, so here it is. Well, it’s been a tough month to say the least, I’ve felt embarrassed and ashamed of the way I look. My hair started to fall out a couple of weeks ago in clumps, i assumed it was stress from losing dad & losing all of my work etc. I went to a tricologist for them to examine my hair and they told me that I was going to lose most if not all of it. I asked why and they told me that I was so close to death from when I was in hospital with covid that my body is going through the process of death and has taken all of the energy out of maintaining my hair into keeping me alive so now it all needs to fall out and regrow, it’ll take about a year to reform in the follicle and then I’ll have to wait for it to all grow back from fresh. I’ll have to get by until then by Wearing wigs. Any woman will know that this is a traumatic experience for them as their hair is their shield & comfort. This virus just keeps kicking me down even 3 months later. Even though this has happened, my mum, my friends and my family have been so supportive and I can’t thank them enough. Me and mum went out and had the nerve wracking experience of being fitted for wigs and we chose one, see pics below. If anyone else is having this experience I’d love somebody to talk to about it. Hope everyone is well and I’m glad to be back ❤️
