Hey all! My name is Grace! I am a small town girl, that moved from Michigan to Tulsa to persue ministry! I'm realizing that ministry is less about an occupation and more about a lifestyle. While I've been in Tulsa I went to Bible college for 3 years. Now, I actually work for the college I attended and and the ministry I'm heavily involved in. My heart is for the people who have lost hope in this rapidly dying world. My heart goes out to the "too-far-goners," the people that believe they have nothing left, and nothing to offer. I'm just trying to live the life I believe God has for me in all its abundance. This has included, (so far), starting a downtown homeless ministry where me and a group of friends had put sack lunches together and just went and loved on the people of Tulsa...getting involved in the youth department at my church, and mentoring teens in small groups on how to get that solid foundation of CHRIST IN US! I also am involved on different worship teams, where I get the esteemed priviledge to lead people into the unmatched presence of the Most Holy God! I love my life inside My Country, and I know and understand there are hurting people here, and I daily live to reach out...but there's something inside me...man...it CRAVES opportunity to take this life outside the borders of the USA and share it with others that are....well...just like me. Dying. Rejected. Hurting. Unloved in such a hateful world. But...with the same God...loved. Restored. Changed. Made New. Healed. I have been to Bogota, Colombia twice, and Kenya, Africa. It was when I saw other parts of the world, that I got a little bit more of a glimpse of how HUGE...ENORMOUS...God really is. He so surpasses any language barrier, or cultural differences. His love is too powerful, and too relentless to let miniscule things stand in the way!
NOW-- I have an opportunity to travel to Greece. Where we will be holding several services at the church along with taking the HOPE outside the FOUR WALLS of a building. (as the schedule is still being made, I will have more details later on!)
I will be gone for TEN days, during the college's spring break in March 2016. The total funds for this trip is $3500 USD. The deposit of $1500 USD is due by DEC 17, 2015. This downpayment locks my spot on the team. The number of team members IS limited, and first come first serve depending on who gets their downpayments.
I love the Bible. I love that it is ALIVE and ACTIVE. That I have EXPERIENCED the life-changing freedom it breaks over us, and I have WATCHED it do the same for so many others. When you encounter the LOVE of GOD you CAN'T stay the same. You just can't. I believe, that some people get to physically go...but so many go spiritually with those when they give. I believe so desperately in Jesus' love and the POWER it has to change lives, circumstances. It brings hope to the hopeless, it mends the broken hearted, it comforts the hurting, it gives peace to the restless, it breaks chains of the bound! If you could please, help me, show more hurting people, dying people, the love of Christ I will FOREVER be ETERNALLY grateful, and pray that the God of all of heaven will rain down blessings in your life because of your obedience to sow seed! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU so much!
Please, more than anything, can you just stop for a second and pray. Pray for the purpose of this trip, for the team that's being put together, for the people who are to receive. And just believe with us that LOVE is being imparted in every direction.
