Dear family and friends,
All my life, I've wanted to be a part of something that can help change the world. My heart and passion has always been to help others in need, no matter what the issue is. I now have the opportunity to join a group of upcoming filmmakers in a 12-day summer fellowship to make a short film about social impact. From issues such as depression, poverty, love, the Jubilee Project has made an impact in my life ever since I saw their first short film, "Love Language." Ever since then, I've paid close attention to the films they make and the messages they portray. Knowing that the root of their story comes from the unconditional love of Christ has inspired me to want to be a part of their journey.
The Jubilee Project summer fellowship would teach me how to use film as an outlet to reach out to those who feel unworthy and unloved. Through my work, I hope that hearts can be touched and souls can be healed. I want to represent who Christ is and the love that he has poured out to me. I know that the Jubilee Project can help me do so.
Although this opportunity would further my dreams of making a difference, I know that I cannot do this alone. As a recent graduate, there is a financial burden to make this opportunity happen. The fellowship costs $1500, which covers living/housing expenses, equipment, programming, and food. My goal is to raise $750 through the support of my friends and family and pay the rest out of my pocket. Please do not feel inclined to donate. Your support in my passion and my dreams has already led me to where I am and who I've become, and for that, I am forever grateful.
Edit: Thank you all so much for helping me reach that half way point of $750! Anything that is donated after the $750 will go towards the remaining fund of the fellowship ($1500). Anything raised past $1500, with your permission, will go towards any equipments needed during the fellowship. If you would like your fund to SPECIFICALLY go only towards the fellowship, please feel free to mention that in a comment/message. Once again, I sincerely appreciate your help and support!
