Grace Episcopal Church Casanova
Grace Episcopal Church located in Casanova Virginia needs help from the community to replace it’s 110 year old slate roof. Fund raising efforts have been fairly successful so far but it is a small church and we still need help from others. We are asking for help to raise an additional $20,000 having already raised $50,000.
The current church building was built in 1908 and has been in continuous service since that time. Grace Church currently has many outreach programs for the community. Grace Church has continuously supplied food to both the Feed My Sheep local food bank program and Stop Hunger Now, an international food ministry. Grace Church sponsors dinners at the parish hall, open to the community with free will donations. The Sew-What group of Grace makes handmade quilts which are donated to worthy causes. i.e. Alzheimer patients, Veterans. Weekly potluck lunches are held at the Parish hall for local senior citizens. Home cooked meals are prepared for local groups that meet routinely, such as the local Ruritans. Father Jim (our rector) participates in community outreach such as being chaplain for Fauquier Sheriff’s Office, a chaplain and board President of Hospice Support of Fauquier County, The Blessing of the Hounds for the Casanova Hunt, and blessing of animals at the county SPCA, etc.
Grace Episcopal Church is a perfect example of how each one of us can make a difference in the lives of others.
If you would, please help us with your donation large or small. Every donation helps.
