Grabenhorst Homestead Rebuild
Donation protected
On 9-7-2020 the Echo Mountain Complex fire started, later claiming over 100 homes in the Otis area. This fundraiser is being set up by the friends and family of Craig Grabenhorst to help him recover from the loss of his home.
Craig grew up in the Lincoln City/Otis area and chose to stay and serve his community as a fire fighter and police officer. After he retired, he continued to serve by coming back as the Newport and then Lincoln City code enforcement officer. He has been involved with and helped hundreds of people throughout his career and in his personal life.
We are asking for any amount of donations to assist Craig and his family with money for food, shelter, clothing and transport while he is rebuilding his home. Insurance companies can take a while to process claims and even when the claims are done, there are always extra expenses occurred while a new home is built. We know that Craig and his family (his wife and two sons, and a dog) will need help to keep themselves afloat in the coming days while they work through the process of getting back to a semblance of normalcy.
The Grabenhorst family is currently living in a hotel and expenses will pile up quickly as they start rebuilding from scratch, especially as one of their sons is recovering from surgery.
We understand that there are many families in need and in similar circumstances because of the Echo Mountain Complex fires, so any amount, big or small, that can be donated to help one of our area's longest serving public servants would be highly valued and appreciated. Thank you.
