Recovery From Theft
My name is Joshua Adan. I am a full-time college student majoring in Nursing, who works part time at Peet's coffee. I am financially independent.
I graduated Terra Linda High School last year and was admitted to UC Davis and UC San Diego. I am attending College of Marin due to lack of funds.
On Friday, September 8th, during my 5pm to 915pm shift, my car was broken into and robbed the following:
- Jansport backpack
- Terra Linda High School Diploma
- Medical Assisting Certification
- BLS Certification
- Laptop (Dell XPS 13 9360)
- ~$200 worth of college books (Timberlake, Chemistry, Psychology, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance)
- $800 in cash
This is around $2,500 in cost.
It is hard for me to take help sometimes, though I feel at this point the stress and the burden of having all my belongings and having to replace them myself is overbearing.
I will use the money to replace my things, as well repair the car windows and other car maintenance. It is an old car, and the extra money I would like to use to replace the tires (they are extremely worn), and the rest be put in my savings for College.
I am a hardworking, first generation American who is motivated in achieving my goals. I am one of seven with a single mom who works Monday to Sunday.
Any form of assistance will be gratefully taken, and I will cherish.
Thank you so much for your time.
