Nola's Cancer Surgery Fund

Donation protected
Nola is my 9 year old black lab.  A few months ago, Nola had what seemed like a small seizure, she was behaving erratically, disoriented, and extremely clumsy, falling onto the ground and bumping into furniture.  I rushed her to the veterinarian and after several tests no real explanation was found.  In Nola’s most recent annual check-up her glucose levels were on the low side so the veterinarian informed me that there was a possibility that her behavior could be explained by that but further tests were needed.  We agreed to follow up the next week with more specific tests.  Those tests revealed that Nola has an Insulinoma, a cancerous tumor on her pancreas that affects her insulin and glucose levels causing hypoglycemic episodes.  I have sought consultation with an internal medicine veterinarian who performed an ultrasound on Nola.  The ultrasound revealed the tumor on her pancreas.  The specialist veterinarian informed me that the tumor has not metastasized yet but that Nola will need surgery as soon as possible to remove the tumor to prevent any further damage or spreading of the cancer.  The specialist estimated that the surgery and post-op care would cost about $3000.  Adam and I appreciate any donation that you are willing to make to help us provide the care that Nola needs.
