Team Karen

Karen, after enduring a frightening few months of unexplained and worrisome symptoms, was recently diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma. As an invasive type of cancer, it has already spread between her breast tissue and lymph nodes, and has already advanced to Stage Two. Along with immediate intensive treatment (either hormonal therapy or chemotherapy), Karen will also require surgery to remove the cancerous tissue.

            As the independent, motivated, and hard-working person Karen is, she intends to continue working and carrying on with her daily duties as much as she possibly can. However, as we all know, cancer treatment comes with a host of extremely severe and unpleasant side effects. This greatly endangers Karen’s well-being and self-sufficiency. She is already seeking some financial assistance for her medical needs. However, she will no longer be able to afford the basic human necessities most of us take for granted, including housing and food.

            No one asks for cancer, least of all Karen Faulkner. She has already lost both her parents to the disease. She knows the pain and fear that cancer brings to both the sufferer and their family and friends. I think we all know.

            Your help is desperately needed. Karen needs a roof over her head. She needs food. She needs clothing. She needs supplies. She needs you.
