Gore Court Hockey Club Pitch Fund
We are Gore Court Hockey Club and we are looking for help to fund our new playing surface. We began playing hockey in 1908 and moved to our home at the Grove in Sittingbourne in 1930 playing on the cricket pitch in front of the clubhouse. When hockey started to be played on astroturf we had a new surface laid at the nearby Westlands School. It was relaid in 2006 and is now coming to the end of it life so we have the need to search for funding for a new pitch to keep us going for the next few years.
We are a thriving club with over 250 members and we run five men's teams and three ladies' teams along with various junior teams of all age groups. Our junior section has helped begin the journeys of England and Scotland U21 internationals along with juniors who have gone on to play in the Men's and Ladies' Premier Leagues with other clubs. We would like to be able to provide our members with the best playing surface that we can to help not only those who go on to play at the higher levels but also to our members past and present who have been with us for many years and who continue to keep us going.
So, please donate what you can, we appreciate any donations that you can give and we will be extremely grateful.
Thank you.
