Gordon Decker Cancer Fund

Full disclosure: Since I am not very good with the internet and don't know how to edit the fundraiser properly, I wanted to share with all of you the current status of my account. Before the latest donation request, my account balance was $6,630. Thanks to some wonderful, generous and caring people, the account balance has grown to just over $10,000. This will enable me to continue my holistic protocols which run me about $1500.00 per month out of pocket. This doesn't cover my travel expenses related to all of my doctor visits. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This old fireman will continue to battle his cancer. I will try to do a better job of keeping everyone updated.

After 35 years in the fire service, always being the one to help others, now it is Gordon's turn to receive the help. Diagnosed in 2011 with stage 4 advanced prostate cancer, Gordon has been fighting to keep his cancer in check, but in 2017 his cancer metastasized and insurance does not cover the many non-traditional therapies keeping Gordon alive. Gordon's condition required a second opinion at MD Anderson. Due to logistics, Gordon chose to end his treatment in Houston. He continues to receive treatment in Georgia; first at Atlanta Cancer Care-Northside Hospital, Emory Winship Cancer Institute and now Piedmont Oncology Rockdale. Please help with these expenses to enable Gordon to continue his battle.
