In 2011, Gordon was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma- fought it with chemotherapy and won. In 2016, Gordon was diagnosed with prostate cancer- after his radiation treatment just less than a year later, it was undetectable. At the end of 2017, Gordon was diagnosed with brain cancer. While the chemo was successfully shrinking the original spot a new spot in another part of his brain was found and was growing rapidly even throughout the chemo treatments.
Gordon's cancer treatments have come to an end. He is not physically or mentally strong enough to handle any more treatments. Last Friday his family moved Gordon into a hospice facility where he is much happier than he was in the hospital but his confusion and memory are quickly decreasing. This is taking a toll on his family.
This year Gordon and his wife Linda will be celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary! Gordon and Linda have 3 children and 3 grandchildren who love him soooo much!
Gordon is a fighter! It is evident in his story for the past 7 years! He has fought so hard to be strong and he has succeeded in doing that.
So I set out today to fight for Gordon, to fight for him with prayer and his family is asking you to do the same for them.
My wife and I have had the privilege of being part of this incredible family. So we wanted to help them in anyway we can so I decided to setup a GoFund Me Page on Gordon and Linda's behalf to help with mounting financial stress that the last 7 years have brought on to them. Gordon has worked so hard all of his life and has helped anyone that needed it, now it's our turn to return the favor to him.
I am asking all of you to please find in your heart to help in any way you can whether it be via prayer or financially, we appreciate anything and everything you can do to help Gordon and Linda!
Please continue to pray for Linda as well as she finds the strength through the hardest time in her life.
These funds will go a long way to help with medical costs and help alleviate some of the financial stress that this unfortunate event has caused.
