Goodman Fire Relief

Donation protected
On the 12th February New South Wales was warned to brace itself for the upcoming weekend to be a catastrophic warning of extreme heatwaves and potential fires.

The most impacted were those in the village of Uarbry where their farms are not only their homes but also their livelihoods. Nine out of 12 homes in the village were lost with the massive bushfire burning more than 55000 hectares.

While Grahame Goodman the Rural Fire Service, Fire Chief for the area was out fighting the fire to save the communities homes and properties his very own family home and farm was taken by this disaster.

Grahame lost both houses and all his fences along with the majority of his stock which he has been breeding for many years for the best quality wool.

For those that have insurance their homes and contents will look to be replaced after they go through the claims process.  However most people didn’t have insurance on their stock and fencing.  Fences need to be replaced so that farmers can get back to a form of normality and start their farming practices again.  Many people have come together to help the small community of Uarbry with donations of goods and funding.

Graham is much in need of rebuilding fences on his property.  With a small or large donation from you this will help Grahame get back on his feet and rebuild his livelihood which was lost the day of the fires.
