The story of Goodbye Sunshine is as simple as it is sad. A young boy, full of dreams, kisses his Mum goodbye and sets off for school. He doesn't come back.
We see in graphic detail the utter devastation this brings to his mother and sister. The denial and madness of grief. Another life, tragically and pointlessly gone.
With a powerful and heart-breaking soundtrack, this film could save lives.

- Knife crime is up by over 50% in the last decade. This is shocking.
- Violence is treated "as if it’s a fact of life", especially in urban areas.
Why?
My name is Sally J Horan, writer and filmmaker and my producer is Adrian Kelaty. Together, we want to do our bit to stem the carnage on our streets. Seen through the prism of a mother's grief, it aims to shock young people. To invite them to think about the terrible consequences of picking up a knife. Please watch this video.
