On Monday, January 4th our precious Keegan Bear unexpectedly became very ill and was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). He's been battling this illness relentlessly for one week, but he kept getting weaker and weaker.
Our Keegan bear fought hard and long until the very end. The vet and my sister did everything in their power to try to save Keegan, but with a heavy heart, we are incredibly sad and heart broken to announce that Keegan was euthanized Saturday, January 9th at 4:00pm.
For those that know Keegan, he was absolutely beautiful inside out. He never missed a moment to snuggle with you and steal belly rubs. Keegan was truly the perfect dog. His gentle nature won everyone's heart. He was friendly to all humans and animals, approachable, kind, loving, sweet, obedient and wanted nothing more than love from his family. He was an incredible companion to all his friends and family.
We are asking for donations to help with unexpected medical bills and hope that this will help lighten up the burden for Keegan's family. Keegan was in the hospital from January, Monday the 4th to Friday the 8th. As you all know, medical bills can be very costly especially when it is unexpected. Funds will cover for Keegan's hospital stay at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center. This will cover all expenses, such as medications, tests, blood transfusions, and emergency treatment and overnight stays. We are hoping to receive funds by the end of the month as the bill is due immediately.
Keegan meant the world to our family and especially my sister, who was his special human. He gave us a good 5 years of love. We will forever miss our Keegan Bear. We pray and hope that Doggy Heaven will be all that Keegan dreamed of.
Thank you so much in advance for all your help. Any monetary amount will be greatly appreciated. We will be forever grateful for any donations contributed to help with Keegan's medical bills.
