Good Morning Creative Arts & Preschool Relocation

Good Morning Creative Arts & Preschool is a cooperative preschool and afterschool program that neighbourhood parents founded in 1981. For the past 41 years, we have provided high-quality arts-based childcare, including a toddler program for children's first introduction to learning and social skill development, a preschool program to prepare children for kindergarten, and arts-based after school programming for children in junior kindergarten to grade 6.

This will be our last year at the location where many of you experienced your first exciting days of school or your first tearful drop-offs as new parents. The building at 174 First Avenue has been sold and we are moving in the summer of 2023. Fortunately, we have found a space close by, and are in the process of finalizing details for a new location in the Glebe. We are very excited about our future, but we still have a lot of work to do. The space requires renovations to make it suitable for a preschool, and as a non-profit cooperative organization, the cost of these renovations is difficult for us to manage alone.

We truly feel our program is special and we hope you feel the same. Our preschool was founded by a group of parents who came together to create something amazing, and we believe our community can come together again to make sure that Good Morning Preschool continues to serve families in our neighbourhood for generations to come. If we are fortunate enough to raise funds beyond what we need to cover the cost of the renovations, those funds will go directly to the improvement of Good Morning Creative Arts & Preschool and its programs.
