Good boy Pete’s Surgery Expenses
Donation protected
Over the past 9 months Megan and Josh have been working hard with several different veterinary facilities trying to figure out what’s wrong with their boy Petey. Pete has been through several procedures in hopes of finding a root cause of the health issues he has been experiencing. No tests have been able to give them a definitive diagnosis thus far. Except for one major emergency scare, Megan and Josh have been able to keep Pete as happy as possible with medication, but they are not meant to be used long term which is causing negative side effects. They were finally able to get Pete into the animal cancer imaging center on the other side of the state to start preparing for the idea that Pete has some sort of cancer causing the issues. They had imaging done and received news quite quickly that Pete currently has extensive foreign material in his esophagus, gastroesophageal Intussusception, and atrophy of tissue in his nose from his chronic rhinitis. The recommendation is to have a scope in his nose and mouth to assess the material in the esophagus and have it removed. In 2023 they have racked up 15k in vet care, not just for Petey but for their other favorite buddy, Kitsune, who has his own set of senior dog needs. This surgery is expected to run 8-14k which is kinda freaking them the f*** out. Megan and Josh obviously love their boys dearly and would attempt to do anything to keep their quality of life high. We are hoping for the best case scenario in which Pete can get this surgery and his systemic symptoms will be alleviated. Please send Pete all your love, good vibes and if at all possible - your donations would be much appreciated.
