COVID-19 Support for University of Gondar Hospital

ውድ የጎንደር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የቀድሞ ተማሪዎችና ሠራተኞች፤ 

የተወደዳችሁ የዩኒቨሲቲያችን አጋር ግለሰቦች፣ ድርጅቶችና ወዳጆች፤

የተወደዳችሁ ዓለም ዓቀፍ በጎ አድራጊ ተቋማት፣
ክቡራትና ክቡራን 

እንደሚታወቀው የዓለምን ሕዝብ እያስጨነቀ የሚገኘው የኮቪድ-19 ወረርሽኝ ምንም ዓይነት የዘር፣ የጎሳ፣ የጾታ፣ የቀለም ወዘተ... ልዩነት ሳይገድበውና ሀብታምና ድሃ ሳይለይ አስከፊ ጥፋቱን እያደረሰ ይገኛል።

ይህ ድንገተኛ ወረርሽኝ ህዝባችን እና ወገናችን ስጋትና ጭንቀት ውስጥ ጥሎታል። መንግሥትና ሕዝብ የተቻላቸውን ያህል የቅድመ-መከላከል ሥራ እየሠሩ ቢሆንም ከወረርሽኙ አደገኛነት አንጻር ያለንበት ሁኔታ እጅግ አሳሳቢ ነው።

የጎንደር ዩኒቨርሲቲም በአገራችን አንጋፋና ታዋቂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ እንደመሆኑ፤ ተቋማዊ ድርሻው ሰፊ ኃላፊነቱ ከባድ ነው። አብዛኛውን የአማራ ክልል አካባቢዎች፣ ከፊል የአጎራባች ካልሎችና ከጎረቤት አገር ሱዳን በኩል የሚመጣው ጫና ቀላል አይደለም።

በቀጥታ ጉዳዩ የሚመለከተው የዩኒቨርሲቲያችን አጠቃላይ ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል የመጀመሪያው ጠንካራ በትር የሚያርፍበት በመሆኑ በወገኖቻችን ላይ የሚደርሰውን ጥቃት ለመከላከል በሙሉ ግብዓት ዝግጁ ማድረግ ያስፈልጋል።

ማንኛውም ጦርነት የተሟላና አስፈላጊ ትጥቅ እንደሚጠይቅ ሁሉ የጤና ባለሙያተኞቻችንን የደህንነት መጠበቂያ መሣሪያዎች በአስተማማኝ ሁኔታ እንዲያገኙ ማድረግ ከሚጠብቁን ኃላፊነቶች ውስጥ ዋነኛውና መሠረታዊ ጉዳይ ነው።

በመሆኑም በጣም አስፈላጊ የሆኑ የጤና ባለሙያተኞቻችንን የደህንነት መጠበቂያ መሣሪያዎችና የሕክምና ቁሳቁሶች ሳናሟላ የምንገባበት ህይወትን የማዳን ተጋድሎ ውጤቱ የከፋ ይሆናል። መንግስት የተለያዮ ግብዓቶችን እያሟላልን ቢሆንም ከወረርሽኙ አስፈሪነት አኳያ በሰፊው ለመዘጋጀት የአጋር አካላት ድጋፍ ወሳኝ ነው።

በዚህ የገቢ ማሰባሰቢያ ወይም Go fund me እንድታግዙን የምንፈልገው የሚከተሉትን የሕክምና ግብዓቶች ለማሟላት የሚውል ሲሆን እነሱም፦


1ኛ. N 95 ማስክ

2ኛ. ሰርጅካል ማስክና ጓንት

3ኛ. ለአንድ ጊዜ ብቻ የሚያገለግሉ የህክምና ልብሶችና ፎጣዎች

4ኛ. ሜዲካል ጋውኖች

5ኛ. የፊት መሸፈኛ  (face shield)

6ኛ. መካኒካል ቬንትሌተር

7ኛ. የመመርመሪያ ቁሶች (Diagnostic kits)

8ኛ. የመከላከያ መነጽሮች (eye Googles) ናቸው።

የኮቪድ-19 ወረርሽኝን ለመዋጋት እያደረግን ያለውን ጥረት እርስዎም በጎፈንድሚ ዘመቻችን "Covid 19 Support for University of Gondar Comprehensive Specialized Hospital" የሚችሉትን ያህል በማገዝ ወገንዎንና ወዳጅዎን ከተቃጣበት መከራ እንዲታደጉ ጥሪያችን እናቀርባለን።

ይህን ህይወትን የማዳን ተጋድሎ ከፈጣሪ ጋር በእናንተ ቀና ትብብር በአሸናፊነት እንደምንወጣው እንቸማመናለን።

በመጨረሻም በዚህ ፈታኝ ወቅት ከጎናችን በመቆማችሁ በወገኖቻችን ስም ላቅ ያለ ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን።

Dear Fellow Ethiopians and caring citizens of the world,

As you may all know the current COVID-19 Pandemic has been harsh to pretty much all people and has not discriminated between races and social classes. Currently, we in the Ethiopian city of Gondar are seeing the widespread devastation across the world and can only imagine what our fate will be.

As the President of the University of Gondar, one of the oldest Universities in Ethiopia, our institution has an immense responsibility to the people of our country. Our University Hospital which will be directly affected by the Pandemic will be the first line of defense to our people and our expertise and long history can go a long way in saving lives. With that being said though, our University Hospital has a catchment area of 7 million and will cater to people from all parts of the Amhara region and nation. This is a daunting task, to say the least.

It is imperative that we provide all the necessary supplies for our hospital staff. Without them, we will lose this war.

Therefore, this campaign aims to raise funds to provide the following resources:

- N 95 Masks
- Surgical Masks
- Disposable Medical Clothing
- Medical Gowns
- Face Shields
- Medical Gloves
- Surgical Gloves
- Mechanical Ventilators; and
- Diagnostic Kits

It is with this in mind that we call upon all of our fellow Diaspora brothers and sisters and citizens of the world to give back and fight this fight with the City of Gondar. 

EVERY dollar counts, and EVERY dollar will go towards purchasing masks (and other gear) to deliver them directly to our healthcare workers.
