Dear Friends & Family,
As you may have heard, my brother-in-law, Jansen, recently had an accident and was rushed to the ER. He had been recovering from pneumonia when he fainted, fell down the stairs and shattered his jaw. Last week, the doctors were able to perform reconstructive surgery and place a plate in his jaw, however his mouth will be wired shut for 4-8 weeks.
It has been heartbreaking to witness my sister go through such hardship while 7 months pregnant with her third baby girl. This should be a time of great anticipation. Instead, they are faced with mounting medical bills, unknown dental bills, unpaid job leave - all while juggling childcare for Ryan and Evie.
Living so far away from family is especially difficult in times like this. In an attempt to help improve their situation, and allow them to focus on recovering and family, I've started a small campaign on GoFundMe. It is for those, like me, who want to help - but don't know how to help - in a time like this. Individually, $20 might not seem like much, but together we can make a significant impact and help support Kenzie and Jansen through this hardship.
Let's help them get back on their feet, so they can stay focused on welcoming their new addition and get to the other side of this terrible accident.
