Court Date with a killer

I am raising money to send my friends Debbi Domingo & Michelle Cruz to court. That's not a misprint, I want them in court and they are hoping they can go. You see, their story is a unique one. They have the unfortunate experience of being surviving relatives of a serial killer's murder victims. Debbi's mom Cheri, and Cheri's boyfriend Greg Sanchez along with Michelle's Sister Janelle, were all brutally murdered by a violent predator known as the Golden State Killer. The Golden State Killer, who started out as the East Area Rapist, is responsible for at least 13 murders, and 50 rapes throughout the state of California from 1974-1986. For over 40 years, this elusive killer's identity remained unknown. Debbi & Michelle tirelessly, and repeatedly shared their heartbreaking stories with anybody that would listen on countless tv shows, podcasts, and in person at true crime conventions-all in an effort to spread awareness for the case, and generate leads. They have been advocates for not only their own family members who were killed by this predator, but for all the other victims of this offender. Despite the passage of so much time, Debbi & Michelle never gave up hope that this violent rapist & killer would be identified and that they would see him in court. And then suddenly, in April of 2018, their prayers were answered. This maniac was arrested and identified as Joseph J. DeAngelo. The joy & jubilation of seeing this killer identified, and in seeing him tried in a court of law is mixed with doubt & concerns. As we know, the legal process in this country can move very slowly. While Debbi & Michelle have always dreamed of being face to face with this monster in court, and sitting through a trial hoping for justice for their families, they are faced with the reality that this could be a very costly venture for them. The costs of a lengthy court process, travel, lodging, missing work, and going without their incomes for an extended period of time, is a daunting challenge that lies ahead of them, and both have families to support. While attending the court proceedings is hugely important, the thought of them being adversely affected and facing financial hardships is a scary one. They shouldn't have to suffer financially just to attend the trial of the man that murdered their family members. That's where you can help. I'm asking you to donate whatever amount of money you can, to help with the expense of sending these two courageous women to Court. Most of us will never have the misfortune of losing a loved one to a serial killer, and if we did, we would all want to see justice done without the fear of financial hardship. I'm hoping that you will donate $1, $5, $10, or whatever amount you can spare for this very good cause.  I will allow these donations to accrue until they meet or surpass the goal that I've set. Once the trial comes, this money will be donated to Debbi & Michelle to offset their costs associated with having their day in court. If for some reason that court trial never comes, if a plea deal is reached, or God forbid DeAngelo dies, then the donations received will be split up and donated to two worthwhile causes, CITIZENS AGAINST HOMICIDE & JOYFUL HEART FOUNDATION. In either scenario, with or without a trial, your donation will help somebody!
