Goldens Quest to buy a home

Our friend Golden Snow is a widowed senior citizen with a severely compromised immune system. Just a whiff of diesel exhaust or cigarette smoke causes a severe allergic reaction resulting in  a full blown asthma attack. If she is near people using any scented detergent, body wash, shampoo or cleaning product, she also gets sore eyes, sore throat,peeling tongue and sore ears .
Golden’s world was traumatized when she was a young girl. Being seen as a pest, another youngster dowsed her with bug spray containing DDT. From that day onward, Golden’s health went into a downward spiral with a condition we know today as environmental illness. After many years of seeking some kind of solution Golden was told by the Environmental Clinic in our province that there is nothing more they can do for her., but to stay out of places that trigger her illness, that means just about everywhere. On good days she feels reasonably well but on days when ATVs, heavy trucks go past her home, or when the local tire making plant purge their tanks, she is driven into an acute state of pain and suffering for days if not weeks on end. Golden lives alone since her beloved husband and rock, Frank, passed 9 years ago. With the help of a few amazing friends, she gets what she requires from the local grocery store. They will bring groceries to her when she needs and take her to the beach, an open, welcoming safe space for Golden, where she can breathe easily knowing she will not be sick for a week. Going into the grocery stores is an event for Golden, realizing that she will be devastated with headaches and pain for a week as a result. Golden’s house and property are her only sanctuary. Without it, her life will be shortened considerably. 
Her late husbands medical expenses and some unwise choices left her drowning in debt
 Unable to work, she has exhausted her financial resources, living on a line of credit and a credit card. She has now  lost her sanctuary, her home, her life such as she knows it now. Her debt has accumulated to$180.000, including  her mortgage. She is broke with no safe place to turn .Moving into any place that is not sustainably environmentally sterile will be devastating for her beyond anything I can comprehend. 
Her home is her only safe haven, with her health problems she is unable to live in an apartment or with other people - it would considerably shorten her life.She currently owes $166,000 on a mortgage. Her pensions do not leave  her enough cash for food so she has to put them on her Credit Card on which she now owes  $14,000. As it stands she has lost her home because she cannot get help to pay down her bills. She desperately needs to get to a dentist and also new glasses.
Most people know Golden Snow from her on line posts about her beloved garden, her feline companion Violet, and some of the amazingly beautiful food she creates from nature’s bounty. She has such a connection with nature spirits, deer, fox and crows come into her back yard to spend time with her.
Beyond this, it is our hope that Golden will eventually find resources that will help her recover her health in a way that will allow her to function in mainstream society some day. Isolation and introspection have been part of her journey. Perhaps it will bring some semblance of how precarious ones life is in an environment filled with toxic material.
