Hello Everyone!
I am the daughter of a beautiful, strong, and hard-working woman who was recently diagnosed with stage 3 multiple myeloma, which is a form of bone cancer. She has already started her treatments, however the insurance will not cover everything needed. Since she has always helped others, regardless of her own situation, I am reaching out to family, friends, and others who can empathize with the future struggles she will soon face.
My mother served in the U.S. Army for a total of 23 years (14 active duty & 9 years in Army Reserves) and is only 1.5 years from retiring as a postal worker. Unfortunately, cancer cells are located all throughout her spine and have caused severe compression fractures in her vertebrae. As a result, she can no longer work regular hours as a postal carrier. Her treatments will consist of radiation, chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. In addition to all this, she must get a procedure done for her spinal compression fractures to help stabilize the spinal bone fragments.
My family and I humbly ask for your help. If you are able and willing, please consider donating any amount that you can afford. We will be extremely grateful for anything you have to offer whether it’s donations, spreading the word, words of encouragement or needed prayers. Every little bit will help. Thank you for your time in reading about our story.
Sincerely,
Jasmine Howell
