Mission India

Dear family & friends,
I have some very exciting news to share with you all! For about three years now God has been tugging at my heart to go on a mission trip. Three years ago we had a visitor to our church. His name was Bishop Jacob Marineni he runs GOSPEL FOR TRIBALS SOCIAL SERVICE SOCIETY (GTSSS). This is located in India and is engaged in many ministerial activities that include planting churches, operating Bible colleges, educating and housing orphans and handicapped children, providing a home for the aged and the poorest, providing medical care for lepers, conducting free medical clinics, drilling water wells, offering vocational training and performing other humanitarian services as the Lord opens doors. Going on mission has always been on my heart and I believe that God is now calling me to go. The door has opened for an opportunity for me to go to India in June of 2018. There is a group going from my church Living Hope in Shelton along with our founding pastor, Pastor Randy. Burton will also be part of the group. I would be using some of my medical training in working with the lepers as well as going to various areas and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Our church is very involved with Bishop Jacob and his mission, we helped to build an orphanage and have supported many of the efforts in India to share the gospel. The reason for this letter is that I am reaching out for support. I need you to pray about helping me financially. Burton is the only one working as I am pursuing my master’s degree and watching Aleida. So our funding is limited.
I also am asking for your prayers. Prayers for the covering of God during this trip, for no logistical hold ups and blocking to go on mission trip, opportunity to share the gospel, that God will use me as his instrument and I will be obedient to his leading, and that I may have no fear, faith in knowing that God is with me.  I have set up this GoFundMe page where you can easily donate online. We as Christians have been given this commission to go out, in the bible Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” This trip will having me doing just that.
