Going to Bat For Craig in His Fight Against Cancer

Hello friends.  My name is David Nicholson, and I'm Tricia Cunningham's brother.  As you may know, her husband Craig Cunningham recently came down with stage-4 cancer.  It has spread to his colon, liver & lungs, and the doctors say that--barring a miracle-- the outlook doesn't look good.  Many of you love Craig & Tricia, and if you're like me you want to do something to help them, but you're not sure exactly what to do.  I talked to Tricia a couple of days ago, and she said a few things that got my wheels spinning:

She mentioned that Craig's diet has changed significantly & that she's spending all kinds of time buying & preparing the ingredients for Craig's organic meals.  But so much of her time is in the kitchen, when what she really wants to do is cuddle with Craig on the couch as he watches TV (or whatever he's doing).  The thought is this: Has anyone ever heard of "Sun Basket"?  It's an organic meal service where your meals for the week come delivered to your door.  No more running all over town trying to find the right ingredients, or spending all day in the kitchen.  When I asked Tricia if that's something that would be a blessing to them, she gave me a resounding "YES!!!" and was super excited about the idea.  So here's how it can work.  If there's anyone out there who wants to provide a week's worth of Sun Basket meals for the Cunninghams, just send us $150, and let us know that one week of meals is on you.  If enough of us pitch in, then we are really giving them the gift of "time with each other" for the next few months.

So we're asking for $150 per week for organic meals.  But as you know, there are plenty of other costs that go into a season like this where you're fighting cancer.  Tricia mentioned that they will be "going under" financially every month for 3 reasons: A) Tricia quit her job to spend as much time with Craig as possible, B) Family deductibles for the year are outrageous, and C) There are all kinds of travel expenses when you're visiting every doctor they tell you to visit.

So please please please pray for Craig & Tricia & their family during this season of tears.  And if you can give a financial gift as well to let them know that you love them & want to "go to bat" for them, then they will appreciate that more than you know.  We are trying to raise $40K total-- every amount is greatly appreciated.
