Help Give Graysen the Gift of Mobility

Graysen Ripic is a 4 year old little boy currently living in Owego, New York. When he was born on July 8, 2010, he was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder, called Arthrogryposis. Arthrogryposis is a general or descriptive term for the development of non progressive joint contractures affecting one or more areas of the body. When Graysen was born he had no movement in his arms. He has joint contractures in every joint from his shoulders all the way to his finger tips. He has externally rotated hips as well as knee and ankle joint contractions. These limitations have greatly effected Graysen's ability to be independent and mobile.

Graysen's insurance company has specific justifications in which they must see in order to cover his very own powerchair. Graysen's home and method of transportation needs to be considered 'Handicapped Accessible'. This is why we are asking for help!

Our goal is to first, raise money for Graysen to have a 20 foot ramp built off the entrance of his home in order to drive his chair in and out. Secondly we are trying to raise money to purchase a van so Graysen and his chair can be safely transported from place to place. Lastly,we are trying to raise money to get Graysen all other necessary equipment he is going to need in the future such as a stander and a special machine that will electronically scoop food for Graysen so he can eat independently!
