GoGlobal 2022-Making a difference in Cambodia
Donation protected
Do you want to join us in making a difference globally?
We are a group of allied health students from Curtin University participating in the Go Global Program. In November, we will be travelling to Cambodia for a 4-week placement to apply and develop our clinical and Interprofessional skills.
We will be working in rural communities in partnership with local health services that provide care for adults and children with a range of different disabilities, brain injuries, diseases, and mental health concerns. We will also provide support and education to families, communities, health professionals, and staff. We will be visiting several host sites in Siem-reap and Battambang, including a hospital, rehabilitation centre, disability centre and community health centre.
We will be implementing interventions and programs designed to address health concerns in the community and foster sustainable change. All programs follow UN sustainable development goals. Our programs will target oral and hand hygiene, sexual health, first aid, and mental health, seeking to provide education and supplies required to improve health outcomes.
None of the donations will be used for students' personal or travel expenses. All money raised will go directly towards helping Cambodia's community and the resources required for programs and education. Such as toys for children who don't have any, toothbrushes, first aid items and more.
Thank you in advance for contributing to this cause; your donation will greatly benefit the community.
