A True Aussie Battler

Donation protected
My grandfather, Don Campbell (aka Dah), is one of the many graziers affected by this ongoing and devastating drought.

Dah runs a 10,000 acre beef property 'Oakey Point' near Lightning ridge in NSW. He is 87 years of age and lives and runs the property on his own.  He is the toughest man I know but these past 6 years have been a very lonely and challenging time. He is experiencing the worst conditions in the 60 years he has lived here.

It is costing $15,000 every 10 days to feed his cattle and these efforts are only just keeping them alive, he is losing cattle every week due to the length of the drought.

Dah has spent his life savings on this drought, It's not only the brutally tough physical battle each day for an 87 year old to hand feed his stock, but the mental anguish wondering when the next load of feed will arrive for his starving cattle.

Oakey Point is his life, the cattle are his friends and family. It breaks his heart to see them suffering and dying.

I would love to raise enough money to buy one truck load of feed. But it’s not just about the money, it’s also to show Dah he’s not on his own and family, friends, and Aussies are thinking of him.

Than you,

Sah xxx
