Homerun 4 Michelle Sylvester Snyder

On September 10, 2018, Michelle went in for an ultrasound of a suspicious lump and came out with a diagnosis of breast cancer.  More testing and biopsies revealed it is invasive ductal carcinoma, and that there are 5 masses in her right breast.  Because of the nature and number of the tumors, on October 12th, she will have a double mastectomy.  

Michelle is 35 and an amazing mother to Collin (13), Kaylee (7), and Aiden (3).   These past few weeks have been a flurry of emotions, the greatest being anxiety over how to pay for her surgery and treatment.  At the time of her diagnosis, Michelle did not have medical insurance.  Through perseverance, she was able to obtain coverage for the initial surgery.  However, her breast reconstructive surgery and some of the post-surgery treatment necessary is not covered.  

At her age, this is not something she should have to deal with.  But even worse is the fact that she is more concerned with the financial aspect and how it will affect her family than her own health.  The courage, determination, and positive attitude she has shown since her diagnosis is incredible! We would love to help pay for her reconstructive surgery and treatment, and help keep their family afloat while she conquers this disease.  Any donation would be appreciated and help her focus on the the road ahead rather than worrying about paying bills.
