Couple Badly Burned

Hi , Meet Rachael and Nick . Rachael is the Granddaughter of my best friend Sandy. I am hosting this Gofundme because on Saturday 12/30/17 they were in a house fire. In that fire they  lost Sandy and their 2 children Milo 4 and Jasper 2. Heaven gained 3 souls that day!

                               Milo, Sandy and Jasper                                   While trying to save their children they were badly burned.  Rachael was burned on both arms and hands. She is expected to make a full recovery but it will take months for her to heal. Nick was not as fortunate. He was burned over 60% of his body. His head, face, shoulders, arms, torso, back and hips. He also has considerable lung damage due to smoke inhalation.
They are both in a burn unit in NC. Rachael will be in the hospital for about a week. Nick will be there for about a month maybe more. He will need treatment on an ongoing  basis plus surgeries in the future on his skin.

They are young and have not had the time to amass thousands in savings. They do not  have insurance and their medical bills will reach into the hundreds of thousands of dollars before all is said and done. Let’s face it these two now have nothing. They have no home, they have no clothes, they can’t work, they have no means of support. They need funds now just to eat. They are in need of the basic necessities of life.
