          - Explique ton histoire au garçon que tu étais à 18 ans.

Ok. Voici MON HISTOIRE.

Salut Luca,

Tu viens de finir le lycée et tu as obtenu ton baccalauréat. C’était difficile mais tu l’as fait. Faire du théâtre est devenu ta plus grande passion. A l’école on t’a souvent dit que devenir comédien ne serait pas un vrai travail, que tu devrais plutôt envisager autre chose dans la vie.


2012 - ÊTRE OU NE PAS ÊTRE. (Hamlet - Acte III, Scène 1)
Je sais que tu es perdu en ce moment. Tu trouveras ta voie, ça marchera...
Tu iras à la fac et tu feras en même temps le Cours Simon à Paris pour 2 ans avant d’entrer au Conservatoire National de Versailles en section art dramatique. Ta famille t’accompagnera toujours dans tes choix. Ce sera la plus belle des choses.

2014 - NOUS SAVONS CE QUE NOUS SOMMES, MAIS NOUS NE SAVONS PAS CE QUE NOUS POUVONS ÊTRE. (Hamlet - Acte IV, Scène 5 )
C'est drôle comment va la vie. Tout en rêvant de devenir comédien et de partir aux États-Unis, tu tomberas par hasard sur un documentaire télé concernant la célèbre école de théâtre new-yorkaise “The Juilliard School ". C'est tout ce que tu as toujours souhaité faire
Ta mère te dira : "Parfois tu as juste besoin de rêver plus grand. Travaille et ne t'arrête pas . La volonté te portera jusqu’à tes rêves! “
L'année suivante, tu feras ta première audition. Aussi improbable que cela puisse paraître, tu iras jusqu’au dernier tour mais tu échoueras. Cela te semblera être le premier grand "échec" de ta vie.

2015 - LE MONDE ENTIER EST UN THÉÂTRE. (Comme il vous plaira - Acte II, Scène 7)
Tu vas te rendre à Londres pendant 2 ans pour te perfectionner en tant que comédien. Ce sera une période très difficile et éprouvante. Avec courage tu travailleras et feras des études  en même temps.
Après plusieurs échecs à d’autres auditions, tu te sentiras seul et désorienté. Mais la tristesse et la déprime ne te feront jamais perdre cet amour pour la comédie.
En ayant toujours le soutien de tes parents, tu te rendras vite compte que le fait d’affronter toutes ces difficultés te permettra de percevoir d’autres merveilleuses opportunités auxquelles tu ne prêtais pas attention avant.
Tu apprendras à vivre le présent, à ne pas précipiter les choses, à ne pas t’inquiéter.  
Après ces moments difficiles, le soleil brillera de nouveau..

2017- ALLONS SAGEMENT ET DOUCEMENT: TRÉBUCHE QUI COURT VITE. (Roméo et Juliette - Acte III, Scène 1)
Le  décès de ta grand-mère sera la première grande tragédie de ta vie.
Tu seras en train de jouer une pièce de théâtre à Londres au moment de sa disparition. Quelques jours plus tôt, tu lui parleras au téléphone. Elle aura l'air heureuse pour toi et une fois encore elle te dira ces mots que tu garderas toujours dans le coeur : "Luca n'abandonne  jamais! Sois patient et tu réussiras”. Cela deviendra ta force.
Tu apprendras de tes erreurs passées pour façonner ton avenir. Tu resteras fort et comprendras que l'échec est essentiel pour se construire. Ton travail acharné et ta détermination paieront. Crois-moi, c’est ça LA VIE!

2018 - VOTRE GRÂCE ME PARDONNERA, JE NE RECULERAI PAS. (Le roi Jean - Acte V, Scène 2)
Et voilà! Après avoir regroupé toutes tes économies, tu partiras à nouveau aux Etats-Unis et une fois encore tu auditionneras pour la JUILLIARD SCHOOL . Je ne veux pas trop t’en dire, mais....

Ta grand-mère avait raison, ta famille avait raison. Ils ont vraiment tous eu raison de croire en toi!
En ce moment même, tu es chez toi, et tu lis la lettre que tu viens de recevoir.
Ces mots en ressortent:
“ADMIS - Juilliard School . Master d’Art Dramatique. Automne 2018. Groupe 51.”

De grandes personnalités que tu admires comme Robin Williams, Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain, Philip Glass ou même Miles Davis sont sortis de cette école.

Tu peux être fier de toi.  Tu es le premier Français à intégrer la section d’art dramatique depuis sa création en 1968. C’est TON succès!
Le vrai travail commence maintenant. Ce n'est pas juste une fin en soi, c’est le chemin pour être parmi les meilleurs mais aussi devenir plus fort. Tu vas réussir.

Et tout à coup, tu te souviens de ce que ta mère te disait 4 ans auparavant alors que tu regardais ce documentaire sur la Juilliard: " Rêves plus grand et ne t’arrête pas.... ".
Quand une porte se ferme, insiste pour la rouvrir de nouveau. Impossible ne fait pas partie de ton langage.
Rien n'est utopique et tu en es la preuve.
C’est en train de fonctionner gamin.
Ta vie a changé. Une nouvelle histoire se présente à toi.

Le budget annuel  pour l'école (études, fournitures scolaires, logement, assurance, transport, etc.) s'élève à 69,610$ (55 688€). Pour l’année académique 2018/2019, la Juilliard School m'a accordé une aide financière de 34,000$ (27 200€). Pour pouvoir obtenir un visa étudiant (J-1), je dois pouvoir justifier d’une capacité financière de 33,610$ (26 888€).

Ma famille me soutient  toujours autant qu'elle le peut, mais  nous n'avons pas toutes les ressources financières nécessaires. C'est pourquoi j'ai besoin de votre aide! Toute contribution compte! C'est une étape importante dans ma vie pour devenir le  meilleur et bien entendu je suis prêt à partager toutes les connaissances que je vais acquérir.
J’ai aussi le souhait de pouvoir aider plus tard les jeunes artistes en difficulté car je sais combien il est difficile d’être reconnu et de se sentir soutenu.

Ok. This is MY STORY.
 
Hey Luca,

You’ve just finished high school and got your diploma. It was hard but you made it. Acting is now your biggest passion. At school, you were often told that pursuing a career in the art was just a waste of time, something you shouldn’t consider.

2012 - TO BE OR NOT TO BE. (Hamlet - Act 3, Scene 1)
I know you’re lost right now, but you’ll find your way and everything will work out.
You will go to university and at the same time you’ll  join a drama course in Paris, the “Cours Simon” for 2 years before getting into the National Conservatoire of Versailles for Dramatic Arts. Your family is going to support you unconditionally , and it’ll be beautiful.

2014 - WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE, BUT KNOW NOT WHAT WE MAY BE. (Hamlet - Act 4 , Scene 5)
Funny how life works. While dreaming about acting and moving to the USA, you’re going to randomly watch a TV documentary about a New York drama school called “The Juilliard School ”. This is everything you’ve ever wanted to do.
Your mum is going to say these words to you : “Sometimes you just need to dream bigger. Work a lot, and just go for it. Where there’s a will there’s a way!”.
The following year, you’ll audition for the first time. You will get through to the final round but won’t get in. This will be the first big “failure” of your life.

2015 - ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE. (As you like it - Act 2, Scene 7)
You’re going to move to London for 2 years to improve your acting. This is going to be the hardest time in your life. There you will work and study at the same time.
After a few failures at other auditions you will feel lonely, depressed, sad, anxious, scared and lost, but you will always have that love for acting to keep you going. Your parents will be always by your side. You’ll realise that facing all these difficulties will wake you up to the wonderful opportunities you weren’t paying attention to. But you will learn not to rush things, not to worry and be in the moment. After some hard times on your own, the sun will shine again.

2017- GO WISELY AND GO SLOWLY. THOSE WHO RUSH STUMBLE AND FALL. (Romeo and Juliet - Act 2, Scene 3)
Unexpectedly, you will experience the first big loss of your life: the passing of your dear grandma.
You will be doing a play in London at the moment she passes away. Only a few days earlier you’ll be speaking on the phone to her. She’ll sound happy for you. Again she will tell you those words that you’ll keep in your heart forever : “Luca don’t ever give up, never! Be patient and things will work out.” This will become a strength.
You will learn from your past mistakes to make a brighter future. You will stand strong and understand that failure is essential to grow. Your hard work, determination and perseverance will pay off, believe me! It’s called life!

2018 - YOUR GRACE SHALL PARDON ME, I WILL NOT BACK. (King John - Act 5, Scene 2)
And this is it, again. After gambling the savings you had, you will fly again to the USA to audition for JUILLIARD . I don’t want to spoil too much for you but…

Your grandma was right. Your family was right. They were right to believe in you!
Right now you’re at home, and you are reading a letter you’ve just received.
These words stand out :
“ADMITTED - Juilliard School . Master of Fine Arts. Fall 2018. Group 51.”

Great people you admire like Robin Williams, Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain, Philip Glass or even Miles Davis came out of that school.

You can be proud of yourself. You actually are the first French/Italian accepted in the division since its creation in 1968. YOUR achievement!
The hard work begins now. This is not an end in itself, it will help you to become a better actor but mainly a better person. You will make it.

And suddenly you remember what your mum told you 4 years earlier while you were watching that documentary about your dream school. You will remember those special words : “Dream bigger and chase after your dreams… “
When a door closes, kick it open again and never take “NO” for an answer!
Nothing is unachievable and you are the proof.
It’s all working out kid.
Your life has changed. A new exciting journey is ahead of you.

I need your help!
The Juilliard School has awarded me an annual Total Financial Aid of $34,000 (27 200€). However, the Total Cost of Attendance at the school (supplies, insurance, housing, transportation etc.) has amounted to $69,610 (55 688€). To be able to qualify for a Student Visa (J-1), I need to show proof of funding amounting to $33,610 (26 888€).

My family have always been supported me as far as they could but this time we simply do not have the financial resources. That is why I need your help! Every single contribution no matter how small really counts!
This is a huge step in becoming a professional working actor and I will be happy to share all the knowledge I’ll gather.
I’ve made a promise to myself: I will help young and struggling artists to make it whenever I can, as I know how hard it is to become an artist and feel supported.

2012 - ESSERE O NON ESSERE. (Amleto - Atto III, Scena I)
So che in questo momento ti senti smarrito, ma troverai la tua strada. Funzionerà.
Andrai all'università, ti iscriverai allo stesso tempo alla scuola d’arte drammatica “Cours Simon” di Parigi per 2 anni prima di entrare al Conservatorio Nazionale di Versailles - sezione teatro. La tua famiglia ti sosterrà sempre nelle scelte che farai. Questa sarà la cosa più bella.

2014 - SAPPIAMO COSA SIAMO, MA NON SAPPIAMO COSA POSSIAMO ESSERE. (Amleto - Atto IV , Scena V)
È strano come funziona la vita. Mentre sognerai di diventare attore e di trasferirti negli Stati Uniti, ti imbatterai in un documentario televisivo che parla di una scuola di teatro di New York: "The Juilliard School ", tutto cio’ che hai sempre desiderato fare.
Tua madre ti dirà: "A volte Luca  bisogna fare grandi sogni e lavorare sodo per realizzarli. Volere è potere!”
L'anno successivo sosterrai per la prima volta l’audizione alla Juilliard School. Arriverai fino all'ultima prova, ma non funzionerà. Cio’ sarà il primo grande "fallimento" della tua vita.

2015 – TUTTO IL MONDO È UN PALCOSCENICO.  (Come vi piace - Atto II, Scena VII)
Ti trasferirai a Londra per 2 anni per perfezionare la tua recitazione. Questo periodo sarà durissimo.  Studierai e lavorerai contemporaneamente.
Dopo vari insuccessi ad alcune audizioni, ti sentirai solo, depresso, triste, spaventato e perso, ma non abbandonerai mai la grande passione per la recitazione. I tuoi genitori saranno sempre al tuo fianco. Capirai che fronteggiare le difficoltà, ti aiuterà a vedere meglio le opportunità meravigliose alle quali non avevi  prestato attenzione prima. Imparerai a vivere il presente, a non affrettare le cose e a non preoccuparti, perché dopo momenti difficili, il sole splenderà di nuovo.

2017 - CALMA E GIUDIZIO. CHI CORRE TROPPO, INCIAMPA.  (Romeo e Giulietta - Atto II, Scena III)
Sfortunatamente dovrai affrontare il  primo grande lutto della tua vita: la morte di tua nonna.
Il giorno del suo decesso sarai sul palcoscenico a Londra. Pochi giorni prima le parlerai al telefono e lei sarà felice per te. Ti incoraggerà nuovamente dicendo: "Luca non arrenderti mai! Sii pazienti, vedrai che funzionerà.” Porterai le sue parole per sempre nel cuore, saranno la tua forza. Imparerai dagli errori del passato per creare un futuro migliore. Resterai forte e capirai che l’insuccesso è essenziale per la crescita. Il tuo duro lavoro, la tua determinazione e la tua perseveranza daranno i loro frutti, credimi! Questa si chiama VITA !

2018 - VOSTRA GRAZIA VORRA’ BEN PERDONARMI, MA INDIETRO IO NON TORNO.  (Re Giovanni - Atto V, Scena II)
Eccoti qui, nuovamente. Dopo aver messo da parte tutti i tuoi risparmi, tornerai negli Stati Uniti per un’altra audizione alla JUILLIARD SCHOOL . Non vorrei dire troppe cose ma...

Tua nonna aveva ragione, la tua famiglia aveva ragione. Tutti hanno avuto ragione a porre fiducia in te!
In questo momento infatti sei a casa e stai leggendo una lettera appena ricevuta in cui c’è scritto:
“AMMESSO - Juilliard School . Master di Arte Drammatica. Autunno 2018. Gruppo 51”

Grandi personalità che ammiri come Robin Williams, Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain, Philip Glass o anche Miles Davis hanno frequentato questa scuola.

Puoi essere fiero di te stesso. Sei il primo italiano ad entrare a far parte della sezione di arte drammatica fin dalla sua creazione nel 1968. Il TUO successo!
Il vero lavoro comincia adesso. Questo è solo l’inizio, diventerai un attore migliore, ma soprattutto una persona migliore. Ce la farai!

E improvvisamente ti ricordi le parole di tua madre di quattro anni prima, quando guardavi il documentario sulla scuola dei tuoi sogni: "Sogna in grande e insegui i tuoi sogni...".
Quando una porta si chiude, aprila di nuovo e non accettare mai un “NO” come risposta! Niente è impossibile e tu ne sei la prova.

Per l’anno accademico 2018/2019, la “Juilliard School” mi ha concesso un aiuto economico di $34,000 (27 200 €). Tuttavia, la spesa che io dovro’ sostenere per il prossimo anno (scuola,  forniture scolastiche, assicurazione, alloggio, trasporto, ecc.) è di 69,610 $ (55 688 €). Per ottenere un visto per studenti (J-1), devo essere in grado di giustificare un importo finanziario di 33 610 $ (26 888€).

La mia famiglia mi ha sempre sostenuto, in ogni modo, ma questa volta non è in grado di affrontare l’intero impegno economico. Ecco perché ho bisogno del vostro aiuto! Ogni contributo conta!
È una tappa importante della mia vita per diventare un attore migliore e, naturalmente, sono pronto a condividere le mie prossime esperienze con tutti coloro che mi sosterranno.
