This is Hope, my sweet bread loaf of a dog (breed is unknown, so I just say she's brown). I swore my first dog would be named after the fan-made pup mascot for the Blue Lanterns of DC comics, whose powers draw from the hope in their hearts.... so I hoped for a pup to name Hope.

 

 

 

I adopted Hope back in 2015 when she was 4 and since, she has been a source of comfort, joy, and learning patience for the past few years.

September 13, 2021, we found out that she has a [mass] in her belly that is pushing on her internal organs and may possibly be a cancerous tumor. The vet recommended a ultrasound and biopsy to find out what the [mass] really is, and the estimating the cost is over 1k, which is not money we have just lying around. I'm prepared to cover most of the cost, but with student loans and other bills at my back, I'm a bit short at the present.

I don't intend on begging for any money, but gracious and generous friends have made offerings (literally a penny donated would make me cry) so I thought to open up this gofundme page to anyone who would be interested. Feel free to donate as you wish and as much as you wish. If there is anything extra, it will be saved for any future medical needs for Hope (especially if any surgery is needed following the ultrasound & biopsy).

 

While I'm saddened by the news of my pup having a tumor, I'm forever thankful for the days I've already had with her and hope to have even more. She's my little wiggly bread and love her. Even though she is a bit older now, she still has so much life and energy in her to spend, (even if all these photos of her are of her sleeping or chilling).
