<div>Denn: Da die letzte Gehirnentzündung zwar Ende 2023 war – aber bislang nach wie vor noch keine wirkliche Ursache gefunden werden konnte, lebe ich seither <strong>zuhause in Isolierung</strong>. Kein Treffen mit Freunden, kein Besuch und vor allem: kein Arbeiten mit Menschen ist mehr möglich.

<div>Das Risiko, mich erneut mit etwas ganz Harmlosen wie einer Erkältung, einem Schnupfen etc. anzustecken, ist groß. Und kann dazu führen, dass eine solche banale Infektion den Weg frei macht für die nächste bakterielle Enzephalitis. Die Blut-Hirn-Schranke, die normalerweise verhindert, dass so etwas passiert, funktioniert bei mir nicht richtig.

<div>Das wirklich Schlimme ist allerdings, dass ich dadurch nicht mehr arbeiten kann. Normalerweise bin ich selbständiger People- und Reisefotograf. Das war schon während der Corona-Jahre schwer – aber <strong>jetzt geht es gar nicht mehr.</strong>

<div>Bislang habe ich das hingekriegt: In dem ich sämtliche meiner Rücklagen und mein Erspartes, was ich als Selbständiger zurückgelegt habe, dafür genutzt habe. Aber diese sind irgendwann weg. Nämlich jetzt. Oder besser gesagt: schon seit einer ganzen Weile.

<div>Was das mental mit mir macht? Reden wir nicht drüber. Laut ärztlicher Diagnose liegen Burnout, Depression, soziale Phobie vor, ADHS ebenso. Die Pflegeversicherung hat mich Pflegestufe 2 eingestuft. Bürgergeld habe ich schon vor Monaten beantragt – Fortschritte oder staatliche finanzielle Unterstützung sehe ich allerdings noch keine. Ich bin an einem Punkt, an dem ich am liebsten einfach aufgeben würde. Oder einen verzweifelten Versuch starte und hier um Hilfe bitte.
