Slovakia Mission Trip

This summer I have the amazing opportunity to go on a mission trip to Slovakia with my church, Citylight Lincoln, from June 27-July 28, 2018. Jesus has worked, and continues to work, incredible things in my life and continually draws me closer in relationship with Him. I am excited and grateful He provided me with a unique opportunity to partake in His mission to bring the Gospel to all nations!
Why has God called me to Slovakia?
God loved us so much that He sent Jesus into the world to give His life as a ransom for lost sinners and invite us into a personal relationship with Him! It is because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross that God gave me new life in Him! God has graciously changed my life and has invited all of His children into His mission, which is to share the Good News of Christ’s sacrifice and invite them into the joy, peace, hope, comfort, and love we find in Christ. Slovakia is a country where LESS THAN 1% of the people have a relationship with Jesus! Thousands of people are living without the hope of the Gospel and don’t know anyone that could share it with them! We aren’t going on this mission trip solely to have “fun”, but trusting and pleading with God to use us to bring new spiritual life to a spiritually dead country!
How will I be serving God’s kingdom?
We are partnering with an organization called SpeakOut in Slovakia! Every summer, college students join with Slovak staff and students to host week-long English camps where the Gospel is presented clearly, repeatedly, and in the context of a fun, safe, loving Christian community to Slovak high school students who don't yet know Christ. SpeakOut English Camps are one of the most important aspects of our long-term vision to turn lost Slovak students into Christ-centered disciples. Many of the students who trust Christ at SpeakOut become student leaders in their local ministries at their universities.
What role can you play in God’s mission?
There are two main ways you can partake in God’s mission to bring the Gospel to lost students in Slovakia! The first is prayer! God has called us to plant the seeds but as His Word says, only He can water them. We can share the Gospel, but only God can bring dead people to life! Would you join me in praying that Slovak students would come to a saving faith and eternal relationship with King Jesus? The second way you can partake in God’s mission is financial partnership! God has called me to GO, would you pray and ask God if He is calling you to SEND? Your contribution is an eternal investment in God’s kingdom! I have a financial need of $2,800 to reach by June 20th, but I would love to meet my goal by May 31st. Would you pray and ask God if He would have you joyfully and sacrificially give to His mission?
