Maria and our family have been living healthy for over 2 decades with Multiple Sclerosis, an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks the Central Nervous System (Brain and Spinal Cord).

On February 17th 2018 that all changed. Maria has had the worst MS exacerbation she has ever had; pain, numbness and tingling from the neck down with loss of extremity functions.
With past minor exacerbations, Maria has been able to: #1) take care of herself through the episode, and #2) recover quickly. Not the case with this episode. It has been a long and slow recovery since having the Solumedrol treatment (iv steroid drip).
During this time, Maria has not been able to take care of her personal basic daily needs. And now, being a Mother, she has not been able to take care of Devlyn's daily needs at all, which has added another layer to the mental stress. She has been home 4 weeks now (not working) with a long recovery in sight.
Funds will be used to help with Home Care for Maria and Devlyn which will be a huge stress relief for all parties in the family.
