Godiva’s ACL Fund

Hi, my name is Julie and I’ve made this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister and her dog Godiva. Godiva is a nine year old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. She was a puppy in Detroit when my sister found her and they’ve been inseparable since! Godiva has torn both her back ACL’s. Her left is not the main issue, she can live with the left ones small damage, but the right needs surgery. Godiva recently underwent surgery to have her right eye removed because she was bit by an animal and developed an ulcer but since her recovery, has been in great health and we are surprised this has now happened. She is extremely active and the vet anticipates a full recovery with the ACL surgery. 

Godiva is literally the smartest dog I know  if you tell her to gather the chickens, she will do itTo gather the goats, she will do it. She is a vital part of my sisters farm and how it operates daily and even with one eye, does is it very well. Do not let her grey fool you, she is VERY MUCH still full of life or we would not be considering this. Her quality of life is very important to us and have her best interest in mind through all of this. 

Anyone who knows my family knows my sister has two, 4 week old twins that my sister conceived solely by herself through IVF via sperm donor. So things are extremely tight considering the long financial path it took to bring my niece and nephew into the world. So I’m asking if anyone has anything to spare I would really, really appreciate it. 

In the event that we don’t raise enough, or if the plan changes, anything raised will be donated to a local animal shelter in Godiva’s name.
