God + Gavin = greatness ❤️

In February of this year, Gavin had skull reconstruction surgery, which initially went really well. Two days later, he had a stroke and began having seizures.  This was not how we invisioned spending our first Valentine's Day as a new family full of love.  This was not how we wanted to celebrate our baby's 4th month of life. There was a time in the hospital, where we looked at each other wondering the same haunting question but too scared to ask it, "Will we be walking out of this hospital without our little boy?!"  Asking for help is hard.  We are used to encouraging others to do it all the time, often, as if it were no big deal.  Asking for financial help is even harder.   It's not that we are prideful people, but we are fiercely independent with a passionate work ethic.  We defined the "work hard, play hard" mentality.  If we wanted something, we worked extra hours and earned it.  But here we are, 3 months post-op, unable to work at our usual pace or usual hours, in order to be with Gavin ensuring he does not have anymore seizures.  Not bringing home as much money with mounting medical bills is disheartening.   We appreciate any amount you can offer to help us pay off our portion of the medical bills so that we can continue our progress into our new groove as a hopeful, faithful budding family.
