Kipepeo Foundation has supported Ocean Stars football teams in the Kenyan leagues - they practise in Likoni near the ferry for Mombasa island and close by the school library/cyber-cafe that we setup.
Team Coach Haagai Amonde recently asked: "Was wondering if we can raise funds for our goals. The weather is not good and our two goals are down. We can't play on our field because the posts are rotten and keep falling. We really need to replace them. It will cost me around sh. 18,000 to erect the two new goals. It is very important. Thank you.
The fallen ones have stayed there for five years. If put in place well, I think they will need little maintenance and maybe only after the metals are rusted and begin breaking, then they can be replaced again, probably in 5 more years. Painting them every 2 months will prevent rusting which won't require much money, I can just be doing that, I have always done that without quoting the costs."
