Goalkeepers For Good- 2022 RGA Christmas Fund

Join us again for our 5th Annual Keepers for Good Christmas Fundraiser. The Richmond Goalkeeping Academy Goalkeepers and our RGA Family has set out again to give back to our community.

This year RGA Goalkeepers have chosen multiple local non-profits, and that means a lot to us! Our Goalkeepers have set a goal to raise $8,000 from November 7th-December 18th, 2022. We will use GoFundMe for general donations from the public, 100% of registration fees from Keeper Wars Goalkeeper Tournament to help raise additional donations (from registration costs), financial pledges for Saves made at Keeper Wars, and accepting in-person donations through silent auctions and cash or check donations before and at the event.

2021 Keepers For Good- Christmas Fundraiser Highlights:

The Organizations we have chosen to help this Christmas:

1) Aloha House of Hope

The Aloha House of Hope is a Christian nonprofit that operates a children’s home for children who have been neglected, abused, and/or abandoned by their parents or other caregivers. Each child who comes into the Aloha House of Hope is treated like family no matter how long their stay might be. We will use $1,500.00 of the funds raised to purchase Christmas gifts for the children being provided a permanent and/or short-term home at the Aloha House of Hope in Farmville, Va.

2) Moments of Hope Outreach

Moments of Hope Outreach (Non-Profit). Based in Hanover, VA, Moments of Hope has continued to help 100's of families keep food on their table and provide emergency shelter to those who have lost their homes. In addition to their outreach, emergency shelter, and food pantry, Moments of Hope also provides shelter to those that are homeless and / or are living out of their vehicle during the Christmas Holidays. It is our goal to help sponsor families ($1,200) and individuals this Christmas, giving them an opportunity to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in a hotel where they have a bed to sleep in, a hot shower and heat. The stay will include a gift certificate for food.

3) Provide All Kids at local Hospitals in Richmond with Christmas Gifts

Our third goal is to provide all the children who have to spend this Christmas in the Hospital (in the Greater Richmond area) with gifts. In 2019, with the help of family, friends, and supporters from all over we purchased more than 240+ gifts for the children who spent Christmas at VCU Medical Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital. In 2021 we purchased more than $6,000 of gifts for Chippenham Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital and Henrico Doctors Hospital. Our goal is to reach all pediatric hospitals in Richmond, VA again this year!

We are so excited to give back to these organizations and our community!
