Go Global- Help Vietnam!

We are a group of students studying at Curtin University, across various allied health sciences. In November of 2018, we will be flying to Vietnam, where we will be taking part in the go global program in Hoa Binh Centre for Social Protection (HBC), a government residential care centre which is a house to approximately 145 residents, including homeless, the elderly and orphans.

While there, we will work collaboratively and inter-professionally with the various health professionals in the centre and the local community to develop an understanding of allied health as well as bringing new ideas, resources and training to integrate therapy into the daily lives of residents and make a positive impact on their health and well-being - all of which we would need funding for! 

Previously, students have provided a lot of education based on information to do with mental and physical health, implementing exercise classes, english classes, crafting, toileting and hygiene programs and many more! We do not have a specific plan to what we will be doing there, but will know this when we assess the environment and community to understand what they are most in need off, and accordingly will work as hard as we can to make a difference, especially in communities that do not necessarily have the resources and funding to implement meaningful activities and the healthcare they need to provide to their communities.

All money raised will go directly towards the community we're working with and not funding us being there/travel expenses :)
