<div>Hello, my name is Shrimp (or Swimmy) and my human mummy is trying to raise funds to help with surgery costs so I can live a long and happy life.

<div>Human Mummy’s friends have told her she needs to do this and that she deserves the help.

<div>She is reluctant but she is also skint because lots of other difficult things are happening.

<div>Like my human Granny having a stroke and my human Grandpa having a new hip. And my human Mummy being poorly with an abscess and nasty infection which made her super poorly too!

<div>Human Mummy keeps grumbling about why the b****y h**l she’s got her old folks living here anyway and what the benefits of emigration might be (like less rain) but I know she doesn’t mean it… she won’t leave me!! 
</div>

<div>That all means human Mummy hasn’t been able to do her ‘proper job’ very much at all and look after both them old folk and us dogs and herself.
</div>

<div>Right. A bit more about me as I’m IMPORTANT ☺️

<div>I was the only puppy of a litter to be born naturally. And I was SOOOO TINY. My back legs were all wonky, my tail was all bent out of shape (I’ve already had to have some of that removed but it might need more surgery) one of my back feet was facing the wrong way and I have a cleft palate and cleft lip. With an overbite too! ‍♀️

<div>When I was born Mummy said if I survived the first 3 days she’d step in. And I did. I am small but I AM MIGHTY!!!

<div>I was bottle fed. Because I was determined and clever I didn’t have to be tube fed, even once! But according to my family. Feeding a puppy every 2 hours for weeks on end is ever so tiring. I don’t remember- it all seemed fine to me!

</div>
<div>I have had XRays of all my bones twice and Uncle Giles the vet (and Mum) were very amazed at how not totally disassembled I was on the inside! Everything looked ok. Well, except the tail - that’s still very sketchy….

<div>and you couldn’t see a whole lot in my head as my skull isn’t all done growing.
</div>

</div>
<div>I’ve been so clever and managed to mostly sort my legs out on my own! I am rocking FOUR WHEEL DRIVE! And have mastered all the running and playing!

</div>
<div>The nice consultation vet at the big vet hospital wants me to go for a CT Scan. To see how they are going to stick my mouth back together properly.
</div>
<div>So I don’t get food in my hole, don’t sneezy sneeze all the time, and don’t get recurring Rhinitis and infections.
</div>

</div>
<div>Then he wants to operate when I’m about 6 months old (in about 3 months time) 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m actually doing really well. But in order to grow up to be   Super Shrimp   I need fixing up good. 
</div>

</div>
<div>I don’t breathe so well and struggle to keep up with my mate Beany and it really bloomin’ hurts when I’m playing and someone accidentally gets a tooth in my hole in my mouth or I get something stuck in it

</div>
<div>If it wasn’t for my humans I wouldn’t have made it past my first week on this planet and I really want to keep being FABULOUS and grow up to be big and strong! They would be SO SAD if I broke now! 
</div>

<div>My human Mummy and family would use the money you donate for fixing me up. To pay the vets bills. And for any rehabilitation I needed. If there was any change - they would donate it to The Red Foundation- a fabulous gang of folk who help poorly, broken and lonely dachshunds.

<div>So, firstly I need to get some more X rays so we know I’m growing properly (and to see what the bones in my tail are up to) secondly I need to to see a professional cardiologist to check my heart is top-top.
</div>

</div>
<div>Then… we need to have the cash  to pay the ‘big guns’ to fix my mouth up good to help me eat, chew (and bite!) better ☺️☺️

</div>
<div>My Humans and their friends say it’s so important I get this done because I’ve come so far and tried so hard to be here and stay here that I deserve the very best.
</div>

<div>My humans friends say that the crazy effort my humans have put in so far deserves help and recognition- because lots of people would have given up on me… but they didn’t (and won’t no matter the effort needed)

<div>At no point would we be offended if people didn’t want to help. It’s hard asking and we just hope if you don’t want to help. Maybe you can be nice and kind and wish us well….
