Dante’s Family needs your Help
Hello, Family, Friends, supporters,
Our son Dante Salazar is affected by PUV (Posterial urethral valve). Posterior urethral valve (PUV) disorder is an obstructive developmental anomaly in the urethra and genitourinary system of male newborns. A posterior urethral valve is an obstructing membrane in the posterior male urethra because of abnormal in utero development. 1 and 8,000 babies are affected by PUV. Because of the PUV, Dante needs a Kidney transplant and bladder reconstructive surgery. As Dante was developing, so was an obstruction in his urethra (PUV) which resulted in a backup of fluids which ultimately damaged his kidneys. We found out Dante would be affected by PUV when I was 20 weeks pregnant. Dante is now 6 years old and since that day he has undergone 29 different heart wrenching surgeries and does dialysis 3 times a week. Dante is getting ready to hopefully go through the last leg of this condition, which is the hardest, the kidney transplant and Bladder reconstruction surgery. The Family will have to travel to Phoenix Arizona and stay there for a minimum of 6 months while Dante goes through these procedures, this is why we ask for donations; which will go towards the necessities for living. Dante was given 6 to 8 weeks for approval of the transplant. We could get the call and have to be there within 24 hours before the kidney goes to someone else. We should be getting the call in December. We are asking Friends, Family, and Supporters of Dante and his cause to help us through the most difficult part of this journey. Dante is our little miracle; our warrior and we will be forever grateful for any donation that helps Dante live as normal a life as possible. Much appreciation and Many Thanks.
