For Henry

My name is Lindsey James and I am Jewel Hartzog's daughter. I never thought I would be sitting here having to type out my story of why we need money for medical reasons. My husband Cameron James and I have a 3 year old little boy and have another baby boy on the way. At 20 weeks pregnant, I went in for the anatomy ultrasound and they noticed my Henry has a Congenital Diapraghmatic Hernia with a possible heart issue as well. I underwent blood work and an amniocentesis to rule out any chromosomal abnormalities before our journey to Jackson to see a Pediatric Cardiologist as well as a Doctor that could tell us more about his hernia. What we learned there was that as of right now his heart is being compressed by his liver and stomach that is in his chest wall due to the hernia so the development of his heart is behind where it should be. We also learned that his lung tissue volume is low due to underdeveloped lungs because, yes, his hernia. He will most likely have breathing issues and will either be put on a ventilator or ECMO. Because of my high risk pregnancy my husband, son and I will have to relocate to the Jackson area at 35 weeks to be next to the hospital 24/7 in case of an emergency and also for his delivery at 39 weeks. During this time, my husband and I will be out of work. Like I said, I never thought I would be sitting here asking for your help, but here I am. We appreciate anything anyone can donate and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This has been an emotional time for my family and I, but with help we hopefully won't have certain expenses to worry about. My family will be keeping everyone on Facebook updated (because I do not have facebook) on what we find out at each Doctors appointments-- please keep us in your prayers, praying that we see God work a miracle.
