From The Ground Up - Service Industry Fund

Many of our friends are out of work. We’ll be distributing funds to those within the East Nashville music community who were effected by the March 2020 storms, particularly those whose places of employment suffered damage. With so many already living paycheck-to-paycheck, the funds gathered through the Heartstrings Foundation will immediately go directly to musicians, artists, industry workers, and others while they find new streams of income. These funds will ease the financial burden of living expenses for those who make our vibrant community what it is, while East Nashville heals and rebuilds.

Mission: The Heartstrings Foundation is a non-profit organization that uses music to enrich the Nashville area through education, entertainment, and charitable giving.

The Heartstrings Foundation aims to foster and enrich the music community of Nashville. Through fundraising efforts, music education for local youth, and providing job and volunteer opportunities for those in the music community, Heartstrings sustains, encourages, and promotes the musical ecosystem of Nashville at all levels. With acquired funds going toward youth arts and empowerment programs, compensation for local musicians providing free music lessons to local students, and other efforts to benefit those involved in Nashville’s thriving music community and its future, the Heartstrings Foundation works to further the positive impact of music.
