Funeral Expenses for Doug Bowman

Douglas A. Bowman was an amazing, caring and loving Husband, father, and grandfather,  as well as a proud United States Marine, die-hard Cleveland Browns fan, among many other things!!! A hard-working, vibrant, down to earth, good ol’ boy! They don’t make em like him anymore!!! He worked hard his entire life,  right up until the end!

When he was first diagnosed, he underwent many radiation treatments, which worked and he was deemed cancer free for many years! The cancer did come back strongerAnd more aggressive this time,  eventually Causing him to need multiple surgeries, of which caused him to lose his entire tongue, along with his voice box, leaving him needing a feeding tube, and no longer having the ability to speak at all. Because the cancer came back too soon he no longer was able to have the life insurance policy he’d paid into for so many years, and it was virtually impossible to find any others that were affordable.  

Doug fought hard for 11 years with Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The aggressive treatments wiped out his savings, after chemo/radiation and 2 - 12 hour surgeries as well as a last ditch effort in march he tried an extremely expensive trial chemo pill that wasnt able to shrink the tumor.  

Despite everything the man lived his life to the fullest abs loved every bit of it!!! Staying busy and working up until a couple days before being taken to hospice of Dayton! Heis someone all men should aspire to be like!He is so loved, adored and will be terribly missed by everyone in his life!
