Team Dickson Waddilove Tokyo 2020

We are two person sailing team sailing in the 49er Olympic class for Ireland. Qualifying and sailing in the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 is our dream. We have been sailing together for six years and have progressed through the ranks of the 420 and 49er class and represented Ireland at four European and five World Championships. We train full time all year round in Dun Laoghaire and Spain with two other teams but we both come from the North side in Dublin.

We need funding for the 2017/2018 season in which an important Olympic qualifying regatta, the World Championships will take place in Aarhus, Denmark. In order to compete at our best we will need a new boat, sails, foils, a mast and ropes. In order to compete at all we need to transport our equipment out and back and have to pay for the entree fee. We need this funding in October in order to make a budget and so we can plan out our training and our racing in the best way possible.
