<div>I’ve been through this myself. Back in 2006, when I was undocumented,  ICE showed up to my town where I was living. I was so scared they’d show up at my job that I stayed home that day. That fear, that anxiety, that uncertainty — I’ve lived it. And that’s why I want to help others stay safe right now.

<div>Yo también pasé por esto. En el 2006, cuando aún no tenía documentos, escuché que “la migra” andaba en mi pueblo, y por miedo a que llegaran a mi trabajo, decidí no ir. Ese miedo paralizante, esa incertidumbre, y esa angustia —yo las viví. Por eso entiendo perfectamente lo que muchas familias están sintiendo en este momento.

<div>Esta recaudación tiene como propósito ayudar a las personas a quedarse seguras en sus casas sin poner en riesgo su libertad o su estabilidad. Quiero usar estos fondos para mandarles despensa/comida, ayudar con apoyo económico directo, y ofrecerles un poco de alivio en estos momentos de tanta tensión.
