Glover Park Day 2022 - June 4, 2022

Hi everyone! My name is Cheri Meyer, and I am fundraising for the 31st annual Glover Park Day, which will take place on June 4, 2022 at Guy Mason Recreation Center. GPD is a public, day-long community festival celebrating the Glover Park community of Washington, DC, its residents, and its neighbors. It features great music, good food, kids' activities, lots of vendors and crafts, and, most importantly, friends and neighbors.

Glover Park Day is back this year after a 2-year Covid hiatus. Like many communities, Glover Park's businesses continue to face challenges with supplies, staffing, and customers. GPD is funded in large part by participating local businesses. Many of our businesses don't have the wherewithal to support Glover Park Day this year, so I am asking friends and neighbors of Glover Park to support Glover Park Day 2022 by donating. Donated funds will be used to pay for the bands, tables, chairs, permits, kids' activities and everything required to put on a wonderful community day. Note that GPD is planned and staffed by volunteers, and no funds will be used for personnel. And a full accounting of donated funds will be provided to the Glover Park Citizens' Association.

I have been co-chair of the Glover Park Day Committee for more than a decade. I joined the committee when I moved to Glover Park in 1998.
