Gloucester Helping Hands

Gloucester Helping Hands have been providing GL Communities with roughly £200 per month. This money is used to fill up the food store at GL Communities with long life and tinned foods.  This food is distrubuted, at the discretion of The Money Advice team and helps around 60 families per month who are on a low income, have financial/budgeting issues or debt. They also provide nappies, baby wipes and grants in exceptional circumstances. Anyone is able to come and access the 'period poverty' scheme and collect free sanitary products and soap. Some of the money is used to provide a breakfast, for attendees of The Phoenix Centre in Matson. There is a Job club and health/wellbeing service there.
