Suicide is 10x More Likely to Kill Kids than COVID

Since the start of COVID-19, the suicide rate for children in the United States has increased exponentially because our youth have lost hope about their future. The lockdown result of this pandemic has left them feeling isolated, depressed, and many contemplate suicide. Now, in conjunction with the Parenting Institute, Global Peace Media aims to educate Americans on the alarming and ongoing spike in youth suicides.
Global Peace Media is an international media production and broadcasting non-profit, tax-exempt organization that educates and encourages people to take action and make positive differences in the world.
Recent studies report statistics such as hospitals seeing a 75% increase in children seeking mental health care, and a 66% increase in suicidal teens. Between the stresses of ongoing social injustices and the repercussions of this still-current pandemic, children and young adults specifically are struggling with maintaining their mental health. Suicide is currently the second leading cause of death in people ages 10-35, but together we can change that.
Global Peace Media realizes that it is up to us to provide support and alternatives for America's youth, and therefore will begin professionally producing a YouTube video series for wide distribution which will address this epidemic. Through this series, Global Peace Media is creating a platform for Mental Health experts and suffering kids alike to share their thoughts, insights and experiences on this mental health crisis in America’s current climate.
Any and all contributions to this cause are greatly appreciated, whether it is a monetary donation or sharing this campaign with people you know! In addition to producing and broadcasting this series, GPM will also donate funds to supporting health agencies which deal specifically with youth at risk for suicide! This is a cause that has affected many people and will continue to do so until proper action has been taken - which is exactly what Global Peace Media intends to do.
