Myla Croft - Puerto Rico

Myla is a high school senior who plans to pursue Pre-Law with a minor in International Relations. She has been presented with an opportunity to participate in a service-learning and language acquisition experience in Puerto Rico next summer (June 2020). The travel program is called Global Ethos, and we will be partnering with a local non-profit organization called Planting Hope.  She will be going with her teachers and a group of students from her school to support post-hurricane relief efforts.  Not only will she be able to see a new part of the world and experience a new culture, she will develop a deeper and more nuanced global awareness. In addition, this would be a great opportunity to make a positive social change. She will gain important leadership skills and increase her competitiveness for college scholarships. Also, she will need a global perspective to be a well-rounded student. She is asking for a donation of $2,875 to cover the whole cost of the trip, but even $300  or $100 would go a long way. Any amount is great! The trip includes airfare, lodging, meals, transportation in Puerto Rico, and programming costs. This is a great opportunity to invest in a future leader!
