<div><strong>UPDATE (June 18, 2024)</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have reached our $20,000 goal to fund the following items for Hope Christian Hospital's blood bank expansion. THANK YOU!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Microplate well washer
</li>
<li>Microplate reader
</li>
<li>Hematology analyzer
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This expansion is a multi-phase process, so any additional funding past our $20,000 goal will allow us to fund even more of the equipment needed for the expansion. Hope Christian Hospital has worked closely with the National Blood Service of Ghana to determine the exact equipment needed to become an accredited blood bank, and this first campaign will provide the necessary equipment to test and store lifesaving blood.

</div>
<div><strong>YOU CAN STILL GIVE</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any amount over the $20,000 goal will accelerate Hope Christian Hospital's expansion into a regional blood bank.
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>ABOUT THE PROJECT</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Each year, millions of lives are saved for one simple reason: blood is there when they need it most. But for those who live in the world's most impoverished countries, blood often isn't.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>That has to change.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That's why we are embarking on a new initiative that has the potential to make lasting, tangible change.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In celebration of World Blood Donor Day on June 14, we will be working to raise money for Hope Christian Hospital, a rapidly growing, around-the-clock hospital on the Village of Hope campus that serves more than 30 rural communities in Ghana's Central Region.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Through this initiative, Hope Christian Hospital hopes to attain equipment necessary to fulfill a longtime dream: its expansion to a regional blood bank. Once realized, it will be able to courier blood directly to remote communities, reducing the time needed to provide lifesaving care.

</div>
<div><strong>How We Can Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To best support such an incredible endeavor, we here at Our Blood Institute and Global Blood Fund have been in regular communication with Hope Christian Hospital and Village of Hope leadership.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, we've set a fundraising goal of $20,000. Why $20,000? That money – $1 for each patient treated annually at the hospital – will be used to purchase a:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Microplate well washer
</li>
<li>Microplate reader
</li>
<li>Hematology analyzer
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hope Christian Hospital leadership identified these pieces of equipment specifically as their most needed. Each will serve as major additions to the hospital's blood testing process.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're so excited to help deliver these lifesaving items to Hope Christian Hospital and the people of Ghana's Central Region, but we can't do it without <em>you</em>. We hope you can join us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sincerely,
</div>
<div>The Global Blood Fund team
